So...I haven't progressed very far with the main quest line due to randomly doing other missions, I don't have all of the powers yet. I have however advanced far enough to trigger the tentacle thingies that shoot you while you're in the air. No problem, just kill them, right? Well - unfortunately, that causes Genki to spawn. And he completely obliterates me while I barely damage him (at least that's what I assume since there is no health bar and I kept shooting him for what felt like forever before I died). There seems to be no way to regenerate health, running/flying away doesn't work either, apparently?
I used the skull weapon (the one that came as pre-order bonus), because that's the only one I've upgraded so far, and Blast (both stone and the other element, the dark one), and the Imps (two out of three times, they just stood next to him, not attacking). Sprint + Melee doesn't seem to work on him.

How did you defeat him, what weapons and powers worked best for you? The lack of health regeneration during that fight is my main problem. When I finally found some NPCs to kill, they didn't drop anything.

On a completely unrelated note: I suck at the flying thing. Hellblazing, medium difficulty? Had to try over and over and over again...ugh. I don't even want to think about the hard difficulty... Flying works fine otherwise, but Hellblazing is a different story...Apparently I just don't get it.

Destroying the spires shouldn't make Genki spawn, at least it never did for me. He spawns on occasion when your notoriety maxes out instead of the regular miniboss and defeating him rewards the ark of the convenent weapon. He is definitely harder to kill, but should be doable.

Ah, that makes sense with the notoriety.
I managed to kill him (took forever). Also, all the other Hellblazing instances were so much easier - even the hard ones, no clue why?
