Part of the fun of SR 3 and 4 for me was wearing ridiculous clothes and doing stupid over the top things in silly cars with my friends. However if we have to play as Gat or Kinzie it will most likely take that part of the game and atleast an hour of laughs away from the game experience.

You'll only be playing as Gat and/or Kinzie. If you have a Saints Row IV save, you can import it in and your personal boss will be in the cutscenes.

I have to agree with you here. The biggest attraction of Saints Row for me was the ability to fully customize my own character. I never thought Gat was anyone special, and to release a new game where you're forced to use him, and not your own creation, is the biggest turn off for me. Very disappointed. =(

At least...Make us load our Boss in the Hell's world when the game is finished..Like a New Game + playing as our Boss. Cause right now....I wont buy it. Iloved so much SR3/SR4 but that one..I'm REALLY disapointed .

Yuck. I've loved the games in the past, I even won that Tentacle Bat contest from Machinima for SR4's release. Still sitting in my room and all. But being able to create and play your own silly creation was a huge chunk of what made the game fun.

Sure, Gat and Kinzie are awesome, and $20 seems appropriate for what you're getting.. but, when it was announced, you gave off a vibe that this would be an entire new game. I'll probably still buy it, since it's cheap enough, but I think I speak for all of us when I say that we were hoping for SR5 instead of a standalone dlc.

Johnny Gat and his frosted tips have always been the worst part of Saints Row, playing as an obese woman with a cockney mans voice and a beard was easily the best part

That says more about your own mindset and your inability to socialise properly than it says of any of ours.

Also, Gat sucks. He was good in SR2, but now he's a complete cartoon character with no point to his existence.
