Playtime length
So, I'm kinda curious about this, but after paying full price for Journey and finishing it in about an hour, I'm kinda wary about these games. While I love the idea, and love exploration in other games, I'm also not interested in an experience that is over in an hour - Can anyone give any info on how much playtime there is in the game?

Also about an hour. Maybe two if you explore everything.

Seriously? That's a deal braker for me. That's a real shame. It is really expensive to make these games with AAA polish. I guess they might have not have had the money to make a full experience.

The average playlength we have seen has been a bit longer then that but it could be done fast if you knew exactly where to go and just rushed through the story.

Most people we see play however like to actual explore, see the city. This is what we are really hoping for, rather then a must finish thing really fast.

There are quite a few lets play video ups now and their lengths have in general been around 2 hours long and they have got only about 50% of the collectables outside the main story.

But it could be faster or slower, it really depends how you play. Hope this helps.

Yeah; this game was not my cup of tea, but I definitely think there's a *place* for it among other gamers. It took me about three hours (I was reviewing it, so I was trying to see as much as I could), if that helps.

If you rush through I can see how it could be completed in an hour or two, but to get 100% completion and uncover all the story elements will take much longer. I'm around five hours with a few sneaky collectibles I'm still trying to find and the last story "level" to finish. So by the time I do everything it'll likely be around six hours or so, plus time spent just boating around, taking screenshots/postcards, watching the sealife, etc.

I have just finished streaming the game and managed to get through roughly 50% of the game in about 3 hours. I'm planning to go 100% so taking out the time I spent interacting with chat and not playing I would say you could do everything in about 5 hours. The boat upgrades seem to be the toughest thing to find so adding in searching for those it could take a little longer.

The game essentially has two stories. The main story and then the back story. If you are willing to put the time in to find all the lore then there is fun to be had trying to piece it all together. The lore comes in the form of images, almost like hieroglyphics so people will most likely interpret them in different ways.

Yeah, so I just finished the main story and got 100% collectibles and 100% achievements in six and a half hours. A few of the secrets and boat upgrades are tucked away in tight spots that you just kind of have to happen upon because it's hard to get an angle for the telescope to pick them up and scan onto the map. So on average I would say you're looking at 5-6 hours to do everything, depending on how quickly you're able to spot the hard to find items.

Uhh, that dampened my interest in the game a little. :( I was hoping for a solid 10 hours experience and some puzzles.
