City Of Brass
[Controller Issue] Different Horizontal/Vertical Sensitivity
I play on console so I can't access the feedback page.

I'm not sure if support is through for this game since we've seen a number of considerable updates, but if there are a few more updates coming it'd be nice to see this in one of them.

Issues

It's difficult to illustrate this issue, but the X/Y sensitivities are different, and seemingly different for the 'normal' range and the accelerated jump at fuller stick tilts. However I could be completely wrong about that and maybe the acceleration curve differs between the axes.

For example, to get the same 'max' sensitivity, if you have the vertical sensitivity at 10 the horizontal to needs to be about 6. However while that feels broadly the same for full tilt movements, subtle movements feel like the vertical sensitivity is lower than horizontal.

I unfortunately can't show the stick movement on console, but I've made two videos trying to show this issue.

https://youtu.be/hBD4nswgmZE

In this video I have a couple of presets. I'm basically making small circles and then full stick tilts back and forth and up and down.

For the 6H 10V the full tilts look similar, but the small circles look like wide ovals. This means the horizontal sensitivity is higher.
For the 0H 10V the horizontal turns are clearly slower, but the circles end up circular.
For the 10H 10V the full movements the horizontal is slightly faster, but making small circular movements with the stick results in very wide oval cursor movements.

So if you want to have smaller movements feel like they have the same sensitivity, you have to heavily lower the horizontal. If you want a decent turn speed, you have to have considerable horizontal bias with smaller movements.

Differing sensitivities also alter the diagonal movement, so if you point the stick in a direction the cursor won't move in that same direction.

That video was done with 6 Horizontal and 10 vertical. I started out doing some medium vertical movements, then horizontal to compare the sensitivities and then tried moving the stick at 45' angles(about 10 seconds in). The attempted 45' movements resulted in more subtle angles. This can kind of make aiming feel 'flat' and make it so you have to point the stick at a much steeper angle to get the one you want.

This is normal in games with differing sensitivities and may be preferable to some players, but with the first issue of the differing sensitivities between subtle and accelerated movement, we can't set the ratio ourselves.

Request

I'm not sure what it would take to fix this, but ideally the end result would be the 'normal' and accelerated sensitivities would be made consistent and the sliders in the menu relaying the correct ratios.

If we set a sensitivity of 10H and 10V ideally both subtle and full tilt movements would be the same.

Additional thanks

And again, I'd like to thank the developers for the previous deadzone/acceleration improvements(quite a few updates ago). While this current issue is bothersome, fixing those initial issues was the biggest improvement. The game's certainly been playable but possibly seeing a fix this would make it that much smoother.
