It's ♥♥♥♥, did you see the trailer? It looks like a bad PS2 gane, there's also a part where the trailer runs on the single digit frame rate.

If you like the generic character run and punch game genre like the Shrek games or any other modern "platformer" movie tie-in, I guess you'll enjoy this game.

Yeah, I totally see the need to post comments on games based on movies that I didn't like :|

Merida Oct 7, 2014 @ 5:07pm
From i've read on the net, the game got above average reviews. Is catered for younger players but can be still a challenge for adults at higher difficulties. Expect around 8 hours of gameplay.

This game was 50$ when it came out in 2012. If you have a daugther/niece who is a Merida fan, at 20$, it can make a nice gift.

I just reviewed it and rated it positively. If you like general adventure platformers (akin to Zelda), this one's a pretty decent game. While it doesn't have the best graphics, it provides enough of a challenge to be entertaining. Plus, you can choose your difficulty level ranging from easy all the way to Brave. I feel like the person who left the negative rating was just upset because they expected too much from a game aimed at children (but still enjoyable enough for adults who recognize it for what it is).

I have the Wii version and I really enjoyed it. It's by no means a big budget title and graphically it is pretty disappointing but as far as movie tie-ins go, it's certainly a fun game. If it goes on sale I might buy it again.

This game is like Dark Souls for kids.
