I was hyped - until i saw the pricing and the "pay extra so that others cant play for a few days".

Honestly this is the most insane thing one could come up with yet ppl seem to accept it - you pay 10+30 USD extra so that others cant play a finished game for a few days - on the other hand its fits perfectly in our current world.

there is nothing special about it, it's only two days, the extra charge is not worth it, besides, you have two extra days to evaluate the optimization and whether you want to definitely pay money for this game or wait for discounts

Its obviously not worth it - the problem is that it exists in the first place and what it says about companies and their view of their customers.

Call me crazy but no i dont want to buy from someone treating me like that.

I get that - but it feels like it is that mindset - that is probably pretty normal for enjoying your hobbies - that seems to be what is used to destroy that hobby.

Honestly a lot of the things i really enjoyed about gaming are already dead. For example - i seriously enjoyed having commuinity servers in FPS where i met the same groups of people and casually played with them with some text chat and less cheaters due to constant moderation.
These days FPS are like playing with offline Bots, you play with ppl you never see again, there is some skill-matchmaking which makes games rather boring - having a mix if its okay is fine. Also most games are desigend for fast in fast out gameplay.

MP is huge these days - bigger than it ever was - yet the social aspects of games seem to have completely died. Many games will even completely disable voice/textchat without even giving ppl an option - but it doesnt really matter anyways since usually you will never see someone again.

Games i enjoy even get destroyed - i liked Overwatch as a casual game - they made it worse with most updates, changed characters completely and even took away access with Overwatch 2 from a bought game.

But yeah i probably am too negative - but it really is annoying what they are doing to my hobby ...

You're not crazy. But it's just your opinion. Personally I don't really care. I'm looking forward to playing 2 days early. But if someone told me I couldn't, I honestly wouldn't care. As someone else pointed out you can probably determine if there are any catastrophic performance issues thanks to everyone else playing for 2 days first.

This deluxe edition or whatever it's called is not just early access, it also contains the DLC. Costs 30 bucks more just like Eternal's deluxe edtion. I'm still finding it a bit problematic. Normally there is no reason for me to buy the deluxe right away. I'm perfectly happy to buy the standard edtion first and the DLC later, if I think it's worth it. Skihs and the like aren't an incentive to me to buy the deluxe package.

But what unfortunately worked on me is the fomo tactic. It's irrational, I know, because what are two days when I will likely play the game for years. But I fell for it. Well, ♥♥♥♥ me.

I didn't buy deluxe for Eternal and was gifted standard here. Eternal was my favorite game for the last 20+ years.

Getting the deluxe neither gives or means much aside from 48 hours that will be a drop in the ocean if the game is good.
