What do you think the DLC campaign is about?
Do you think the DLC will be like a prequel to DOOM TDA or be like the story of a different character?

I'm guessing it will have one or two new weapons and besides that be a half-length campaign of playing tag with enemies in between an unprecedented story that you could neither have extrapolated nor interpolated from any other existing DOOM media

Why are those two the only options? I think it's more likely they will simply continue story of the main game, just like in Eternal. Not seeing them do another character, since that would require a whole new gameplay design.

Those were my ideas. It could be anything.

it will likely end with him being trapped in the sarcophacus

makes sense
i hope it will not be stand alone, i dont like when DLC are separated from the main game, i dont like how i cant use the sentinel hammer and the new runes in the base game (without mods) in eternal for example
but if the DLC is a complete separate timeline or new gamemode im okay with that too, as long as its good content

Could be a self-contained story. I feel like the UAC should play a role in Doom Dark Ages, though I imagine the Quake-like setting would make it hard to incorporate them in the base game.

This is a single player shooter, not an RPG. You can't just add new levels to the the middle of the game. It'll most definitely be separate.

We know how Doomguy’s story ends in that time period - a building is dropped on top of him so he has to take a coffin nap until Doom 2016. If the main TDA campaign doesn’t end with a coffin nap, I guess we’ll see a DLC or two about how that happened.

it doesnt make any sense, not being a RPG doesnt mean DLC should be a stand alone
there is a ton of non RPG games with DLC fusionned with the base game

Personally i think it would be great if we had a co-op DLC campaign with up to 4 players that play as night sentinels which defend locations we were never told about. Ofcourse this is way too big and i doubt ID will ever make this happen.
Another way would be having one person playing as Doom Slayer and another as commander Valen, each with different abilities, kind of like in Halo 3 where you had Master Chief and the Arbiter. I doubt there will be any mission in which we will fight alongside Valen tho.
I'm hoping the dlc leads into doom 2016's codex, like maybe the events leading to him getting sealed?

Im pretty sure that the base game itself is meant to do that.

hopefully doom slayer against nazies or at least aliens

Sounds crazy but i think it would be hilarous to have a wolfenstein themed secret level like in DOOM II.
