DLSS Frame Gen issues
The game runs fine on my RTX 5070 ti. The only problem is Frame Gen. Once i enable it, i start getting flickering and some kind of jittering. It's less smooth than without it which make it pointless. I don't have this problem on other games.

Anyone else have this issue?

Edit:

Found a fix:
Enable MFG until you reach the maximum refresh rate of your monitor.
In nvidia app go to doom TDA and Enable VSYNC: ON or FAST both work the same.
Now you get a smooth gameplay with high FPS no jittery or stutering
By the way Gsync is enabled

Me, exactly what you describe. Glad that I'm finally getting to read others with the same problem.
Two questions: What is your framerate without Frame Gen? And what is the refresh rate of your monitor?
Even I am having exactly the same problem, with frame gen ON there was some kind of visual jitter and the below are my spec
CPU : AMD 9950x3d stock
GPU: RTX 5080 at stock speed
RAM: 64GB at EXPO
SSD: 2TB PCIE 5.0
Monitor resolution : 2k
Game setting : MAX settings with path tracing
Glad that is not my hardware fault. I knew something was off since i'm very sensitive to this kind of things

In my case, it only happens with path tracing enabled, although I suppose it's also impossible for me to really know for certain if it also happens with it disabled because I have a 5090, and the game flies even at 4K native with x2 frame gen on this thing xp The stutters only happen with low base frame rates.

Guess I could try capping the frame rate at 60.
Any of you guys tried downgrading Nvidia Driver to 576.88 or lower and see if you face jittering issues with frame gen and also I'm facing this jittering issues with Indiana jones TGC game also and might be something in the latest drivers is messing with these both games

i tried it with path tracing with dlss quality and with no path tracing with DLAA cuz i have good frames without PT 90-120 average. Both times when i enable FG i get these weird jitter/stuttering mess. Doesn't matter x2,x3,x4 all do the same

No i didn't but the issue is either from the game or nvidia driver.
Yes frame gen was not smooth for me either, I experience screen tearing if I enable frame gen, so I am forced to keep it disabled. I am using RTX 5060 laptop gpu with 32GB RAM and I have path tracing disabled. Without frame gen I get around 80 to 90 FPS. I have a 1080p 144hz screen, with frame gen enabled I was getting around 180 fps but the tearing ruined the experience. I also get ghosting on objects when I move the mouse horizontally. Initially I thought the ghosting was because it is a demanding title, but I get the ghosting on DOOM Eternal as well which is well within my specs. The ghosting gets fixed with frame gen enabled but then I get tearing which is worse than ghosting.

What are your specs?

But ok, if you're getting stutters with Indiana Jones as well, then I pack it up, because so do I, and ultimately it all leads me to believe it's indisputably a problem with Vulkan/idTech that for whatever reason affects only a select number of users.

Reverting to 576.88 (or lower) outright fixes stutters with frame gen, but then it causes instability that leads to crashes the more taxed the GPU gets.

Just no good enough solution at the moment.

Maybe this stuttering issue with frame gen is more of a driver issue than game i guess.
if nothing works, maybe it is faulty hardware

nope, many are experiencing the same issue
Hi Guys, have any of checked if new nvidia game ready driver fixes the stuttering introduced by frame generation?

Do you get stuttering all the time or just after cutscenes like when starting a new chapter? This defintely an engine level bug in the game becuase with the new game ready driver, frame gen at 4x setting in the game works fine, no stuttering or tearing. But as soon as I start a new chapter or after accessing the sentinel in the game, frame genertion breaks because the engine resets it as the state of the game changes. So then the only workaround is to disable frame gen and re-enable it and then the stuttering stops. Basically FG needs to be reinitialized everytime the games state changes. This is a game bug.
