It appears there's a scam going around on social media sites stating to grant early access to this game. I wouldn't recommend clicking on those links as they try to disable your Steamguard and gain full access to your account.

It's also happening on steam DMs to people who's accounts have been hijacked, i got one from a friend on steam and i know they're not a scammer, so they're hijacking people's accounts and using that to spread it more

This almost got me, I'm accustomed to sharing demos, referrals, or good deals with a few friends so it seemed completely natural. Link embedded neatly, even the age-verification seemed completely normal.

This steam discussion made it easy to identify this as a scam.

Genuine thank you to all thread participants.

I stopped at the initial age-verification page, I wonder how the rest of the scam works. Does the hijack start when you verify your age?

I'm getting these messages too, they are online playing the game, but when I looked closely : "In non-Steam game" DOOM: The Dark Ages.
Seems they are compromised like you said. thank you for this.

I don't think so, because the next step to "take beta test", it's entered your personal data on the site, that redirects them somewhere else. At first i checked first link and she was clear. But the second one was strange.
