1070ti is still fine

Half Sword playtest is GOTY 2025 and that is only going to change when Half Sword early access comes out. I'll buy Doom when it's $15 in several years I guess. I should have a 30x0 by then.

For anyone who hasn't been around and doesn't have an exceptional understanding of computer graphics, the Raytracing requirement allows them to fire a bunch of lighting artists.

What do you think the chances mouse+keyboard support will be available on PS5 or Xbox?
I'm running a 1070, and will not have enough money for an upgrade by the time this game comes out. But I do have consoles. I hate playing FPS games with a controller, but desperate times and all that.

the xbox has several games that support m+kb.

i'm a pc player (mainly) and didn't tryy any doom games. i mostly have game pass for pc. i can check what newer games i have that are similar.

Doom 2016 had a pretty low amount of demons per encounter, which was especially noticeable on the larger arenas. Eternal doubled that amount. Now, The Dark Ages is looking to at least quadruple that, while not only keeping Eternal’s system which allows you to dynamically gore any demon you see, but improving it. Given all that, I can excuse higher system requirements.

I still can play eternal @ 4k 120hz maxed out on my 1080ti tho.. but i know it's time for an upgrade, im buying the 5090 in the next two to three months.

No, it doesn't mean that at all. It means the older GPUs don't get feature updates and "game ready drivers", which are irrelevant for old GPUs because they're not getting optimizations in those drivers to begin with at this point.

I have been buying 3D accelerator cards since 1995, so if you think you can tell me something about this, please, go ahead and spin on your head in front of everyone for our amusement.
