DOOM: The Dark Ages

DOOM: The Dark Ages

1070ti is still fine
Half Sword playtest is GOTY 2025 and that is only going to change when Half Sword early access comes out. I'll buy Doom when it's $15 in several years I guess. I should have a 30x0 by then.

For anyone who hasn't been around and doesn't have an exceptional understanding of computer graphics, the Raytracing requirement allows them to fire a bunch of lighting artists.

If you had an exceptional understanding of computer graphics you'd have a job that pays enough to upgrade your GPU.

But his gpu actually has enough hp to run the game 1070ti and 2060 super are nearly identical in terms of raw power. The real question is “ am I supposed to change my gpu just because of lazy and greedy software companies ??”

I dont think so I will pass doom 2025 too..
The GTX line is made obsolete by last year's Indiana Jones and the upcomming Dark Ages.

And it's going to get worse, as more "AAA" releases will start to require RT capable hardware.

Hahahah yeah because "understanding graphics cards" pays the bills

I have a mortgage, enjoy your perpetual rent lifestyle for eternity and your fast video card.

Everyone I know who owns a home has plenty of money for their hobbies, so it sounds like you need to work on yourself and improve your financial situation if you can't afford a few hundred bucks to upgrade your PC - especially when it makes you so insecure that you have to post cope threads about it.

comparing an indie arena battle simulator with a AAA fps game with huge levels and tons of monsters... yeah... ok... :conwayshrug:

Wanting to run this on a 1070 would be like trying to run Doom 2016 on an 8800gt. Both 9 year old GPU's at the time of launch.

Both video games

It doesn't look any better than Eternal, which runs 60 fps on 1070ti at 1080p high

yeah, ok... you definitely have no clue what you're talking about.
why don't you compare it to e.g. PONG? that's a video game too, right? :rfacepalm:

have fun trying to run this on a non-raytracing card when that is the requirement.

We are hitting diminishing returns and the era of small improvements that have huge performance impacts. I have a feeling the game will have noticeably better graphics once in game.
