You think people must just accept and comply?
Who gaslight you into being this *?
See two years ago. They were posting this because it became a trend. Every non indie game has this price tag it’s the new normal.
Not what I said, but I guess. If you want to play the game then buy it or wait for a sale. I don’t really care just pick one and stop whining
Start fighting for higher wages if you are complaining about being priced out of a hobby
CoD 4 had cost $76 on PC and $91 on consoles if you adjust for inflation.
Red Dead Redemption 1 was about $86 if one adjusts for inflation and RDR2 about $80.
The original Half Life was $94 on PC if it was released today. HL2 would be a bit cheaper, bu still more than this: $83.
Wolfenstein 3D was $112 (!!!) in todays money ... and that without any multiplayer or modding tools.
PacMan for the Atari VCS (2600) would be $115.
Compare Quake 3 to Doom Eternal. Quake 3 launched at $50 in 1999 and had 50k sales during it's launch week. Doom Eternal sold 3 million in the first week. $50 is 1999 is $77 in 2020 when Doom Eternal released but selling 60x more during launch week probably makes up for the higher budget. Also Quake 3 was all physical sales with the publisher getting netting about 55% per sale while all pc sales were digital and at least 50% digital on console. Digital sales nets the publisher 70%.
Its a Hard Pass for me
