yeah you are. It's 2025 and NVME is a standard now. Deal with it or buy a new MOBO. Literally every MOBO has NVME nowadays.

Don't think you are, just wait and see how it performs. If turns out to be bad, then yeah, you will need a NVME drive,

Excuse me OP; a bit personal but; may i ask... how come you don't have <Insert latest tech-name in the industry>? in <current year> ?

Some people are so out of date, yet they want to play the newest games. i know a person who has hardware from december 2024...

december 2024 hardware!!! in jan 2025!

Bs, most people buy the lowest tier garbage QLC SSDs that are literally slower than any hard drive, PS5 enforces a speed limit, PC doesn't, and been proven time and time again in-game experience is not affected by storage, all the big PS5 games on PC can be played off failing hard drives, once you get past the loading you're good,
If you have a quality SATA SSD you're better off than 90% of NVME users who bought some trash like the Kingston NV or whatever you get in bargain bins these days.

They are all missing out, imagine playing doom 2, maybe modded, brutal doom purist on nightmare...

its just shotguns and demons;

i want new doom, i get to play "How to train my dragon" in new doom while playing as captain america shield tosser with 1 button that can do 500 things depends on the context, and optional micro-cutscene everytime i kill a monster!

Bonus points if i get denuvo; if my machine isn't scanned; i ain't playing!

I can never understand people who like old simple games.

Maybe because its rare for good games like this (hopefully) to come out nowdays, its all just the exact same live service multiplayer competitive FPS/third person RPG overcomplicated for no good reason with ♥♥♥♥ writing

i will write one for you...
you = good, demons = bad, go kill demons.

SATA SSD is fine. If you want to transfer speeds faster, NVMe M.2 SSD is recommended.

Can't see any problem in non-NVME storages. You'll just get longer level loading times, right?

I know right!!1!!1!!!1 I always spend my entire salary that could've gone to feeding my family every month to buying new PC parts. Why? Because I LOVE how my favorite hardware manufacturers boots taste! They are so yummy!

I was already consider getting one of those SanDisk portable SSDs. Not only can I be able to get a 4TB one, but it's NVME so I'm not screwed here.

Portable certainly means that main connection won't be NVME.

Are the dudes with 20 year old CPUs (eg Core 2 Quads), who whine about games requiring more recent instruction sets, still around?
GDI Jan 25 @ 10:44pm
I'm too old for that, I just see new a game and buy a new computer for it.
