For those concerned about CPU requirements
So this is for those who are concerned about the CPU requirements.

Just relax bros - despite that it says 8 cores/16 threads it also says Zen 2

Zen 2 pretty much means older RYZENs can run it too like the RYZEN 5 3600 or RYZEN 5 3500 or RYZEN 3 3100 - yes they specify the 3700X but it will run on older ones because it's the same architecture.

Guys can i run it with my i7-8700 RTX3060?

That's a 7 year old non unlocked 6 core CPU, that part's way under recommended spec. The GPU, if it's the 12 GB, might be able to run it, but I wouldn't expect very much.

You won't have to do that.

It only stands to logic and common sense that the game will run on your CPU.

I fully expect my RYZEN 5 3600 not only to run DOOM DARK AGES but paired with my 4060 im expecting HIGH settings and maybe turning down textures like i did with INDIANA JONES.

Only difference is that Id Software are masters are optimizing, i'm expecting this game to run on older hardware too like the previous DOOM 2016 and DOOM ETERNAL 2020 also did.

Should I be worried with my i5-10400 CPU?
I've seen videos on youtube running the new Indiana Jones game with my CPU and RTX 4060 from high to low 1080p even reaching 2K/4K.

i have ryzen 5 5600x and i know it should run doom the dark ages fine
This game is going to bomb compared to Eternal. The high system requirements and price are going to turn a lot of people off, plus the slow gameplay. It's going to be like 3.

To be honest ?

That actually is one of my concerns with the game, like they keep advertising the "STAND AND FIGHT" with this DOOM.

Like bro we get it, we're supposed to do that in EVERY single DOOM game - BUT my main concern is that the game might lose it's mobility and not be as fast-paced as it should be.

That's what always made the DOOM and QUAKE series so damn good in my opinion - they were fast, accurate, you felt like you could pull of ANY move.

This whole idea of "STAND AND FIGHT" just feels like it's going to restrict movement and take away the FUN that you get from running, jumping, strafing etc.

The game's isn't out yet, but that is definetly one of my main concerns.

Also that i don't go off-topic, I really hope maybe we get to see some benchmarks from youtubers before launch.

This whole CPU problem was never solved and they didn't give us any confirmation so far about 4 core or 6 core CPUs.

id Software were probably one of the few if not the only company i still trusted would deliver an optimized experience on PC although at this point im starting to think this game is gonna be another unpolished mess.

I only have an I5-10400 so I need to get an I7. But because my current CPU is a 10th gen, I can only use 10th and 11th gen CPUs without changing the motherboard. And I could change the motherboard but I don't want to do that because if I do, I'll have to reactivate Windows and potentially lose some data which is not what I want to happen. So in hindsight, getting an I7-11700K is my only safe option.
What did you end up doing? I'm in a similar predicament.
