I do have a Xbox Series X, but wouldn't want to play this on there because of gamepad controls. Clown sticks are a L.
I think what the reqs are trying to say is that you need 8 core for Zen 2 but not Zen 3 and above.

I made the purchase based on price tags + benchmarks where the game performance difference seemed utterly negligible.
I had never heard of someone buying PC parts based on console specs really until this thread. The lame APUs in the last gen consoles had 8 cores too, yet PC quad core CPUs from that era were destroying them.
Guys relax - the game will run on both of your current PCs, sure you're not gonna max it out but there's no doubt it will run like you won't actually be able to not launch it.
You mean if only the GPU is required for ray tracing ?
Yes, the GPU handles ray tracing in games.
That makes no sense to me because i had a ryzen 2600 and a 2060 and the CPU wasn't strong enough for my GPU so i had to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600x
I ran Doom 2016 on an ancient Core 2 Duo E7500 and an Nvidia GTS 450, with 4GB of DDR2 RAM. Performance was around 25 FPS at 960x540, but I did manage to beat the entire game. I was expecting Doom 2016 to just crash on startup, but was utterly surprised it loaded at all.
My current system is an i5 11400, with 64GB of DDR4 3200, and an RTX 3060Ti. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle ran fine at Medium to HIgh with 4K DLSS Performance.
I'm just cautious, as in no pre-orders, but I'm optimistic lower-end systems can play the game, provided the GPU has Hardware RT.
Yep, I also used an AMD ATHLON II X4 620 for DOOM 2016 back then, had no issues with whatsoever.
maxed 1440po 60 fps. At that time we didnt have fsr and DLSS
but we had DSR which was similar to those two. I twas one of the very few games that i could run maxed 1440p 60 fps with that pc.
Now with mine RYZEN 1700 and RX 6700XT RED DEVIL 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15 i run evrything maxed 1440p 60 fps which means there is no worry. And these requirmeents are without FSR. With FSR you get double the perfomance on the same graphics card. With means that i will play it ULTRA 1440P 60 FPS with FSR 3.
