I was going to pre-order, then I saw the price, guess I'll be waiting for a sale...

Yeah I'm out of launch day with that price too. No game is worth 80 euros, sorry.

You'll be waiting a few years for a sale then.
I've put over 300h in DOOM Eternal, for that playtime its worth the money.

80 euro is already most likely standard.

This is the first game i can recall outside of whatever ubisoft might be doing these days that has an 80€ price tag.

It's only a "standard" if enough people let it be one. The customer has ALL the power here. Stop falling for marketing and start educating yourself and others and start enforcing better practices. Stop being a consumer and start being a customer instead, expect better instead of accepting every single thing marketing is telling ya.

This is well meaning advice and not an attack.

what is this price WTF
No game is ever worth its release price. You pre-order and release day price buyers get ripped off the most. Then you pay the for DLC ontop of that.
80 bucks for a doom game ??? :Rubber_Duck:
definitely overpriced

Same, jumping the price of a AAA game from £50 straight to £70 is absurd

And yet the games' demographic has expanded more than tenfold within just the last two decades.
If they still cannot afford to lower the price, then don't make such expensive games. The only one that loses are gamers.

No way for me, 70/80 euro is wayyyyyyy to much for my likes. 50 euro on PC is the max price i want to pay for a triple A game. No, more. I prefer to buy 5 indie games than one game.

This price tag converted me into NON-BUY-NARY.

Bethesda, and especially Microsoft games steep down in price so quickly. 4-6 months later and we'll already see it drop to 50-60 euro. I'm willing to bet.
DOOM Eternal literally dropped to 15-20 euro a sole year after launch.
