Multiplayer or not, i don't buy a game at 80 euro. I prefer to invest in many indie games or in HW (example: buying the Switch 2) than on a single game.
My priority is not Doom for sure, or any 50+ euro games.
that wasn't the case for eternal, and this game seems to be bigger than that game, so youre wrong already
Smart move, for $80 you get 3 indie gems, make it 6 on steam sales.
Most of those $80 "AAAA" games are so buggy, trashy , low quality and annoying to play, that I wouldn't even want them gifted for free. Playing Veilguard, Saints Row 22, Dustborn, Skull&Bonez, MK 12, Call of Duty 44, Assasins Creed 66, Starfield, Suicide Squad, Concord..... probably feels like pure agony.
ID Software was one of the few remaining AAA studios which made quality games.
But judging from Hugos talking points:
- simplified control scheme
- more focus on cutscenes and storytelling
- more focus on (cheap) melee kills
- gimmicky mech stuff
and the $80 price point...
.....it seems as if the investors finally got control over the company.😈
Is a game from a competing platform since MS owns Gamepass and Bethesda and Steam also take a good chunk of the 80 euro. So i do understand why the price is 80 euro as Gamepass might have issues making enough money in their own eco system.
And lets not forget how hard many AAA games flopped recently and that could mean that prices increase on those games that have a potential success story ahead of it.
It is wishlisted and Steam will give me a notification when it is 50% off if i don't buy it around launch and forget about it as always.
I get what you mean brother, but 100GB? Too much of a hassle to download, install etc.
Meh.. I can live without this game. And besides, they jumped the shark so hard this time that DooM at least for me does not look like DooM anymore. If anything this right here is a Quake 1 Remake. Maybe I will pick it up one day at deep sale, or not. The sad part is that previous DooM games were so optimized and ran like butter without asking that much from your PC. Looks like these days are also over
Btw is stalker 2 still available for pc game pass?
