We'd just have to see how iD handles the degree of ray-tracing as in-game option or not. I just saw Black Wukong and that game seems to have degree slider of ray tracing option in-game so yeah that could be how Doom the Dark Ages will come out.
I just got the card a few days ago, so limited time with it, but an hour of TAG 1 maxed out graphics it performed flawlessly.
9070 xt has a bit better or equal rasterization as 4070 ti super, while RT capability of 4070 ti or so? But FSR 4 with ray tracing-to-date by AMD should be what AMD should push game devs to adopt!
I tend to turn it off when possible, but games like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora which funnily enough doesn't ruin the performance much, you can't turn it off, but they still run well, IF you can have FSR and FSR FG, its fine.....even more so if it has fsr 4.
But games like Spiderman 2.....even if FSR 4 and FG, you notice the slowdown.
From a dollar/value standpoint in terms of raytracing the 9070xt wins, as its a cheaper card with pretty comparable performance. However its impossible to find one at its lower MSRP of $750 and that likely wont change in the next year.
Since its currently priced about the same as a 5070 ti (950-1100 usd) you should go with the 5070 ti. If you find a 9070xt at 750 thats an amazing card for that price.
Well, thats a lot more in-depth for sure, haha. I didnt know those were all additional features.
Still, the 9070xt seems like a good value proposition if you can find it at MSRP.
