Doom: The Dark Ages Is Just Medieval Mid.

Doom: The Dark Ages is the most pathetic excuse for a Doom game ever made, it's like they took everything that made the series iconic and threw it into a medieval toilet. Who asked for a gritty Skyrim-looking Doom with clunky armor, slow weapons, and a vibe that feels more like a rejected Dark Souls mod than a proper demon-slaying bloodbath? The fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled chaos is gone, replaced by some brooding knight fantasy nonsense that nobody wanted. Where’s the speed? Where’s the rage? This ain’t Doom, this is LARP with extra steps. Bethesda really said, “Let’s kill the franchise with a flail.”

To me it feels like a side game and not very inspired. Like they saw elden ring's success and wanted to adapt that. A little God Of War vibes also.

I think once the honeymoon ends(like in a week or 2 more) this isn't going to age well perception wise. Eternal and 2016 both felt more polished and original and not chasing trends.

That’s an option, but I’ve only seen it used once or twice. The Elder Scrolls Online Steam board was owner only posts for a long time after its Steam launch did not go well.

Hey, that already exists for the game reviews, and if you know that the forums are a cesspool, just keep playing the game. Don't shift+tab all the time just to read the posts.
