Borderless Window don't work
My desktop resolution is 2160p. Doom's resolution is 1440p.
When I start the game, it changes my desktop resolution to 1440p, and my desktop icons and windows move to different positions.
Now I've tried changing Doom Dark Ages to borderless windows so that it doesn't change my desktop resolution and the icons don't move around. Unfortunately, that doesn't work. Borderless windows and window mode are the same. The game then runs in a small window in the middle of my desktop.
This needs to be fixed with a patch.
Or do you have a better suggestion?

1. Adjust the game screen ratio to 1440p window mode.
2. Set the window position to 2160p screen > adjust the screen ratio to 2160p > restart.
3. Adjust the screen to full screen or borderless screen > restart.

I forgot to ask you one thing... Do you know that after setting up, you need to press "R" to apply the setting?

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. In windowed mode, I can adjust the window size on my desktop with the mouse. But as soon as I press R or restart the game, the window becomes small again and repositions itself in the center. The only option is to set the resolution to 4k. My graphics card's VRam isn't sufficient for the game, and the game also slows down significantly. I have an RTX 5070. Optimal graphics for my graphics card would be WQHD.
This is a bug in the game and needs a fix.
I don't have this problem with other games.
It's annoying every time I quit the game and see that my desktop is a mess :(
Then... try adding -fullscreen to the Steam startup parameters

If it is an AMD processor
Open CCC
My vga display
Content
"Enable GPU scaling"
1. Maintain aspect ratio
2. Scale image to full panel size
3. Center image

Just pick the one you like.

Or refer to the AMD driver version:

The fullscreen launch option in Steam has no effect.
I have an Nvidia RTX 5070 and an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor and 48GB DDR5 RAM.
I set desktop scaling to fullscreen in the Nvidia Control Panel, but that didn't help either.
The game only works in fullscreen or windowed mode in the Center. It's impossible to work around this.
I think only ID Software can fix this.
I can't help you solve it now, but if you play games on WIN11 and the screen goes black, remember to update KB5058499, which seems to solve the problem of black screen in games.

I have no Black Screen or somthings. This Problem exist only on AMD systems :)
Thanks for your Support.
If there is no problem, do not update "KB5058499". If you have updated, you can go to the bottom of the update record to uninstall the update.
The system will have conflicts.
