Can anyone please tell me when the actual full ray tracing comes out?

Ray Tracing is the biggest scam in gaming. It is the current day equivalent what "lense flare" was in movie and gaming industry back in the days. It gives you the illusion of better graphics just because it's shiny.

I always turn it off if there is an option.

I have no idea what shiny is supposed to mean when light and shadows are rendered physically correctly in real time (path tracing).

People who think shiny reflections are the top feature of ray tracing/path tracing should get some insight.

OP: The path tracing update is scheduled for June, but no specific date has been given.

"PC players will get to experience even better visuals with DOOM: The Dark Ages' Path Tracing update in June, NVIDIA shared on Monday at Computex 2025."

These statements always come from people who unknowingly appreciate the technologies that were once industry leading. Absolutely clueless.

You really need to educate yourself. I don't mean that in a derisive manner; you need to carefully review the history of computer graphics since the 70's. Doing so will reveal that RT has been the goal - the gold standard of lighting - since that time and is not going anywhere. Current implemetations will evolve and more refined methods will come, but the technology is thankfully here to stay.

OP: I am don't believe that Id have announced a date.
What has one or the other to do with each other?
Just because i'm saying that if anyone who buys an Iphone is willingly throwing money out the window, doesn't mean we can't accept the fact that apple was the reasoin why there was a huge boom in smartphone technology. Just because you say Elon Musk is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥, doesn't mean you can't accept the fact that his actions and business investments let to industry changing developments. Just because i'm saying that right now Ray Tracing is a scam because it is forced to the consumer to buy overpriced tech which's price doesn't justify the value, i can't admit the fact that it is driving the computer generated imagery technology forward.
YOu people really need to learn how to focus on the subject itself in a conversation and not letting you driven by your personal emotional impacts in understanding.

Buddy i can assure you that 90% of people who love to use ray tracing are not looking further than the "boahh look how shiny" aspect. People generally don't care about the details. If you do....awesome. But then congrats, you are in the valuable little special minority.

Extremely ironic how you tell him to learn how to focus on the subject itself and not let emotions have impact in his understanding when the initial subject at hand was when full ray tracing is releasing and you were the one to derail the discussion into "ray tracing is a scam!!!"

You're probably right, but it's up to each individual whether and how they use path tracing. You don't have to use it; there's always an on/off switch.

Personally, I think it makes sense that Bethesda released two games, Indiana Jones and Doom, that exclude graphics cards that don't at least meet the technical standards of a PS5 or Xbox.
