The game runs fine on the Steamdeck
I don't know what black magic they pulled for this to happen but I've just completed the first two chapters on the Steamdeck OLED.

Right now the game runs smoothly as if it has some kind of built in frame generation underneath.

If you keep the fps counter active you will see it dipping regularly under 30 fps which should cause slowdown and jitter, right?
Except it doesn't??

Oblivion Remastered, a game that's supposedly Steamdeck verifed, runs like ass in the open world and every time the framerate drops under 30 you can see it and feel it.
Silent Hill, unsupported, although it runs on the Deck when it goes under 30, it's mostly unplayable.

But not Doom TDA.

The combination of motion blur and frequent slow mo effects must be really helping and we are not talking about potato graphics settings either. It looks great imo.

Anyone with a Steamdeck can try these settings and see for themselves.

Maybe the game becomes heavier later on but so far it runs and looks just fine on the Steamdeck.
