iirc that wasn't the case originally. but there were ports early on that you could. i think only the enhanced versions support that now.
i don't really think so. i'd much rather have old school dm, tdm, and ctf if any multiplayer was available. but that's me.
As someone who was actually alive and cognizant in 1993, yes, the original release of DOOM had co-op.
Quake 3 is multiverse so technically the character is canon is "some" id universe. =P
