So I liked D:DA and got D2016/Eternal and hell D2016 >>> D:DA
I mean really you can't deny it.

Level exploration is more complex and level design/details are superior.

You gotta actually at least sometimes manage your ammo and think what to upgrade.

Lore is better and not marvelesque (curse to the industry really).

Ingame codex is far more interesting and gives more details.

Challenges during levels.

Upgrade system itself has far better impact on gameplay.

Combat feeling is also better.

Plus multiplayer, level mastery challenges.

I dunno how ID managed to go backwards in terms of series evolution, but it's like an undeniable fact for me now. Guess all good devs left between 2010-2020. Sad times.

Yeah as you don't own D:DA I would recommend waiting for sale and enjoy D2016 instead.

I couldn't get into 2016. The amount of enemies, the atmosphere, and the combat in DDA just feels amazing. 2016 and Eternal are just limited for me. Going back and playing them now makes them feel even worse. Doom the Dark ages is so good that a lot of us went back to 2016 and Eternal, so that right there tells you something. They are all fine games, but DDA is what I went back to after giving Eternal and 2016 another try. Not saying anyone is wrong with their opinion, but I feel like DDA is the best of the 3. :loot:

I play for FREE on PC Xbox GamePass. All you have to do is have a Microsoft Account and click on links for 5 minutes a day and you can play every PC Xbox Gamepass game for free. After you do it for a day or two you gain a level and the cost for PC Xbox Gamepass is 7750 points. I can get 2 free months of Gamepass in one month of doing the rewards. :praisesun:

What I can say for sure.. D2016 is worth its price, as well as on release. D:DA objectively not.

where can i get gears
Although I didn't like eternal at all and dont agree about that one I do agree with what they said when it came to Doom 2016, Doom: TDA is a fun game but Doom 2016 is better.

I decided having played a little Doom TDA I'd load up Doom 2016 and try and play through all three from the beginning. Probably end up skipping eternal after again in the end though, I tried to like that game, just couldn't.

Doom 2016 is hands down the best of the modern Doom trilogy.
