dragon/serrat dodging issues??

i'm on my second playthrough on nightmare difficulty and sometimes when i load back into a dragon level, it just doesn't obey my dodges??? everything else seemed to work fine EXCEPT dodging. i would be in assault mode, hit space and W only to go to the right and get hit. it seems fine now, but the other day it was completely consistent with being the wrong direction EVERY time. i haven't messed with my binds in any way, and reloading my checkpoint seemingly fixed the issue, but i wanted to know if anyone else experienced this? like a rare bug?
