So where's the "woke"?

I know this is a fringe part of the Internet but I'm so confused why this game is woke. The only thing that hinted at that was the lady character (idr her name) and even so, DOOM2016 had a DISABLED woman, and Eternal had several women, so if you got a problem with women I think Dark Ages is not the primary offender there

Like yeah it runs kinda like ♥♥♥♥ but it's playable and I'm having a blast. Phenomenal game as I expected tbh

I dont think any has claimed that DOOM:TDA is woke? Cringe dialog sure but that was in Eternal as well just more now.

Eh, it's just how a lot of people are these days. They find 'woke' everywhere. Many impressionable people's social feeds are just saturated with that kind of language, and they track it around the internet with them like mud on their shoes.

My favorite DooM since the reboot. It has more player agency than eternal. A good balance between 2016 and Eternal. But I just skip all cutscenes. That is its weakest point.

Apart from Debra Wilson, black woman voicing white character (Wokes are okay with it yet hate the inverse), perhaps diverse and bland looking human NPCs. Not much else.

Any narrative that the game failed is followed by woke...if the game fails it's because it's woke...if it doesn't it wasn't woke and every point given that it may be woke is justified..


I do see the woke crowd dwindling...only so many can live in the contradiction for so long

Woke has simply become a blanket pejorative term used by exclusionary dude bros aka chuds. Anything that slightly annoys me? It's woke now. When everything is woke, nothing is. They made their own word completely devalued and meaningless with the absolute over saturation of it.

You can try this for yourself, pick literally any game, any new game, go into the forums and post that it is woke and then unsubscribe. 2 weeks later, you have 5-10k steam points because people cannot be disciplined enough to not argue and not "really show them" by giving them a clown award.

Ehh it does have serious diminishing returns even just a few days in like it did here barely a week after launch most of them have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off. Fastest way to get rid of them is to not give them what they want which is points and to waste their time (never respond to them directly, they feverishly check responses). If it's a lose lose then they go away.
