[patch notes] How are feeling about difficulty after the hotfix?
Last night's stream mentioned a server side tunable patch that was pushed yesterday morning to make the game harder. We got notes for it today:

Tl;dr

- the systems meant to help keep the player alive at low health were nerfed. Less surviving with 5 HP and more dying, especially on nightmare

- Agaddon Hunter, Cosmic Baron, Hellknight, Komodo, and Pinky Rider had their damage buffed. Missing a parry on a hunter for example will break your shield instead of just damaging it. Pinky can also one-shot you on nightmare now with its melee and the 5 HP safety net won't save you anymore.

Much more fun in my opinion. The game is very difficult now on Nightmare difficulty where as before it was a bit too easy. Gets the adrenaline going now.
Haven't played since they apparently changed it, but I think it's a weird thing to do a huge balance change like this without making any note of it in an official patch note - think a lot of people are going to suddenly get confused by why the game feels significantly harder for them.
I'm on UV and haven't noticed any major difference from yesterday to be honest.

Interesting to see higher damage on the Agaddon Hunter and Komodos. I never thought the problem with them not being threatening was because of their damage numbers, but because they just weren't utilized very well in encounters. They need more spawns around them and to not consistently only come in at the very end of a fight, but that's probably not as easy to fix as just a flat damage buff.

Either way it's good to see an explanation of what they changed though.

I dont think higher damage is going to make the game "harder" in a meaningful way.

The number of actions you can take is the issue and slows the game down. That aspect of design makes it feel like the game is holding back in a way thats much more obvious than the last 2 games.
