Change my mind this game aint Lovecraftin
So I was reading another thread, they was saying, basically this game is fully serious, bad, and plot is about lovecraft.
"
the story is bad and takes itself fully seriously unlike the last 2 games, the game's plot can be summed up in like 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sentences

"The Doom Slayer breaks free from the Khan's mind control. the Slayer saves a commander with HP Lovecraft powers and kill a demon lord"
"

This game gives no lovecraft vibes from what I seen.
It's more Diablo, Elder Scrolls, demon like and space like.

Lovecraft is like OG Quake.
I asked Google's AI search bar,
While Doom (1993) is not explicitly based on H.P. Lovecraft's works, there are some indirect influences
Then I ask about Quake 1,
Yes, the original Quake (1996) is heavily inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft

So if this brand, is trying to start a lovecraft RPG shooter type game.

Flip the switches, DOOM be the multiplayer game,
Quake be the SINGLEPLAYER lovecraftian, and follow QUAKE 1 singleplayer, the actual LOVECRAFT.

Not the Quake 2, not the Doom, which even the AI says " not explicitly based on H.P. Lovecraft's works"

I'm kind of ticked by this company, as of late, making Death Knight in Quake Champions a lich, thats not lovecraftian death knight, Death Knight in Quake Champions is not a QUAKE 1 deathknight. QC death knight is some Elder Scrolls inspired.

The QC Death Knight is basically a zombie or lich, but everyone knows you can't kill zombies without quad or rockets. Death Knight in Quake 1, dies while in lava, dies without having to have quad or rockets. Not a zombie, not a lava like monster either which QC gets wrong wrong wrong about Death Knight.

This game seems to be more Elder Scrolls inspired yet space theme.
But references and talks about being lovecraft, you gotta BE LOVECRAFT you can't just talk about it and "TRY HARD" to be serious in trying to be lovecraft via talking about it.

Thats the beauty of Quake 1, less words, more lovecraft walk the walk, not yap the yap.

I do like Doom OG monsters, these monsters are more leaning to Elder Scrolls inspried compared to whatever Doom monsters were originally inspired by.
Cacodemon big mouth floating face, yet these new Doom's make him have legs and arms, they reinvent this, Elder Scrolled this monster.

This video goes over this monster, it seems like Doom monsters are more inspired by Dungeons and Dragons.

If they want to go with a Lovecraftan, wrong game. Thats Quake, not Doom.
Unfortunately this company does not do singleplayer for Quake, which has the great singleplayer lore. I like Quake lore better than Doom and Quake lore is from singleplayer.

Like QUAKE. Like DOOM. This game scratches both itches, simple-as.
