Maybe i can mod it. Maybe I can just bring the cacodemons out back and just.. you know
Also the last shield rune, I forget what it is called, the one that does the shock/stun. That really helps in crowd control situations
Id was clearly thinking Zoanthrope.
Brain bug, its typical common type thing to vision, we've seen enough brain bugs.
But Cacodemon from the OG Doom, thats a specific picture, specific game it triggers specific nostalgia.
I see brain bug I think Starship troopers and other things that used brain bug. I see brain bug aka Doom the dark ages cacodemon, I'm not thinking Doom.
I know this is about hating them in what they do.
I hate the unoriginal, cannot design a unique enemy of these artists and what not that worked on this monster.
All these monsters, they give me Diablo and Elder Scrolls and some Space game type vibe.
Not a Doom vibe.
I'd say the artists can do better, but this thought process, you can't just think better think like OG doom monsters you gotta already be in that weird mindset. This is why I miss the OG people who made this game, the artists if they continuing this game, they should be asking those OG artists like John Romero can you write us a book so we can continue on making this game great.
If these new artists want to go off in their own direction, make a new game, tell Bethesda why do Doom why do Quake can we do a new game new brand and push these ideas and not ruin the OG games ideas. I hate seeing these new artists spin off and miss by a longshot on what the OG Doom and Quake monsters should be looking like.
Cacodemon is nothing like a brain bug, just like Quake Champions making Death Knight a lich, Death KNight is nothing, NOTHING like a lich, he don't like a lich act like a lich, nothing like a lich. What were these artists thinking? Same with Cacodemon, this aint no brain bug. The OG design has no arms no legs, its a unique thing, its not brain bug inspired its its own thing original uniquely created.
This other monster Mancubus, just like QC did to death knight, they put a powersource in their stomach, idk what they thinking, Elder Scrolls or some other Bethesda game inspired, this is not Doom or Quake with monsters with something in stomach

I don't recall any Quake 1 monster with a thing in their stomach, its like these monsters can't function, nothing Quake or Doom like, its some other game.
This brand, needs make a new game if they be changing up monsters so badly from the OG's. The original Doom the original Quake are true 9/10 rated games. Those monsters don't need any tweakings like a powersource in their gut.
Sad thing is John Carmack John Romero they are still alive, they can still push the ideas of the monster and vibe, and continue on the Doom and Quake as it should be continued, but no.
They (new crew, dark ages idsoftware) continuing these series with totally random people, these people been missing the mark on both Doom and Quake, they should just make a new game, I don't like seeing my OG classics be ruined
Shield Toss + Chainshot
You're welcome.
The Chainshot lightly tickles them, gives them a peck on the cheek, then I get turn to shreds.
Nightmare?
Chainshot works. Just toss shield first to stun and hit them 2-3 times fully charged.
Or Rocket Launcher w/damage upgrade.
If that doesn't work then idk man, it is what it is. I beat nightmare just fine by using shield-stuns on tricky enemies.
