Not as good as eternal, but i had a LOT of fun. Bought fullprice premium edition, also to support the company which never let me down yet since i bought commander keen as a kid, so thats worth some support from my side. While it is indeed expensive, the fun i had playing through the game justified it for me. No regrets at all.

Ultra edition, and setting game speed to 130% plus made the game everything I could ever want. Ultra fast paced and really intuitive between melee, shield charge and block. It took me a couple of minutes before I was ripping and tearing.

I will look at this once all the DLC gets released.

From what I have seen it's just another Doom game, without anything special going for it.
Well, not true: it even dumbs down mechanics we already had and made the skill ceiling a lot lower.

Is it fun? I don't doubt it. But I have enough titles to play right now and it's pretty low on my priority list. I have already forgotten it existed, not even a week after release, if I didn't see it being suggested to me on steam.

I am happy with my purchase. I can see why others won't buy it yet. I wouldn't recommend if money's tight. If not, it's pretty fun.

The price of games raising is just something we have to deal with. Prices of everything are going up. My rent just went up $120. There's lots of reasons why, too many to go on a tangent about. But best get over the new price tags.
