I imagine steam would eventually require an internet check.
IDK if Denuvo verifies your purchase every time you play or if it only does it once; I haven't been watching all the internet server queries my computer makes whenever I play, but that would be how someone with more OCD about this issue would check. Assuming you disconnect your computer from the internet entirely AND Denuvo only checks verification of your install on the first boot, which you've done, it might still work, but likely only until you launch the game while online. It seems like an excessive hassle versus just paying for Gamepass if you're low on funds or buying the game on Steam, but hey, it MIGHT work. Maybe.
Not something I'd recommend or condone, but if you're so cheap you need to justify outright software theft, you can go ahead and try.
Just go offline and start the game ... see what happens ....
