The devs are about to find out what a real flop looks like when they release a 60 dollar DLC to about 5 customers.
Are you ready for a 2 dlc rollout that will cost more than the game combined?

Nope Eternal DLCs were $20 a pop or you had the year one pass and they were $30 together..

Plus Eternal launched in the golden era of covid meaning almost everyone was stuck inside and all game pops and launches were inflated.

My man Microsoft runs the show now get your wallet ready for mid
I think most people who have the game and enjoy it will be playing the DLC when it comes out, and most people who would love to but refuse to pay the siĺly price will play it when it goes on sale, probably a GOTY with the DLC. Maybe Christmas this year or next.

That is some way in the future. By then some of the people who feel very strongly the game is no good very bad, and post every day 10 times a day about how bad it is, will have upgraded their graphics cards and can play the game for the very first time in their life and most of them will probably enjoy it, too.

I honesty think when the DLC comes out the peak pop on steam will be higher than launch because by then the people that want the DLC will had buy it when the game goes on sale to promote the game and chances are the gamepass people will have most likely still saved a few bucks rather than buying the game or deluxe version at launch.

By the time you're all finished being outraged the game will be on sale anyway. If it bothers you this much then play one of the other hundreds of games you no doubt have in your backlog and buy it when it's on sale (or don't buy it at all). It's laughable how some of you are treating this like the life and death situation that it clearly isn't.

OK then lets just bend over and lets increase game prices up to $100 for even small game's from now on than lets make big game's well over $150-$200 because you know we could just wait for a game sale right.....

Your they exact type of person to blame on why the industry is the way it is.

I 100%ed the game and had fun, but if nobody speaks out about 12 hour long game being 90 dollars then the industry will have no problem bumping it up to 100 dollars next year. Dont be the consumer the corps wants you to be.

Compared to average salary this game already gets into the upper range you describe internationally at an effective 150-180 dollars (more in at least one case). Really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

I think most people understand that game prices are going to rise a bit, realistically, because they have not approached matching inflation for decades and bills are expensive now. The price on this game, however, is a deterrent to drive game pass subscriptions.

Funny, I shuddered when I glanced through your post history. Your therapist cannot be getting paid enough money.
He does well enough, he might be able to buy this game when the definite edition comes out.

they probably even have the dlc content already made , but intstead of releasing a decent game they choose to release a short game for 70€ and then release a dlc (that was already made by the base game launch) for about 40€
