"wawawa my HIGH END computer has bad fps, why?!"
gtx 1080
8gb 1600mhz ram
FX-8350
1tb HDD
Slapping on artificially generated frames and upscaling is NOT a solution, it's a hack that should only happen IF you run outdated hardware and as things are, they won't be supported anyways so it just ends up being subpar.
edit: no clue if that works with doom now that I think about it. Luckily didn't need to find out.
i7-14700KF
2560x1440
All maxed out
With DLAA (not even DLSS)
Running on stable 120 FPS
Usually when I hear someone saying "I have high end PC" they don't take under consideration their CPU. So they mainly run on newest RTXes while having some garbage 7 years old CPU that can't handle and they are not even aware of it - Seen even one streamer crying how one game runs so badly as he has 4090, when they asked about his CPU it was some old gen 6 years old and he got bottleneck not even being aware of it.
Yes Dark Ages does look better but not enough to warrant such a massive drop in performance.
Lol
Where are the excuses now- oh devs have so much less work to do, bc not having to add baked lightning. And the game will be so beautiful with RTX effects like god itself would shine light on ur eyes.
Consumets themselves PAID for this kind of perf (degradation)...
The only thing missing is the people who post their specs as "Can run Battlefield on max setting."
Did you meet the objectively more stringent system requirements of eternal when it released?
And if you did, did you consider it scummy for the game to have a 4 year old graphics card as a minimum requirement?
The Dark Ages requires a technology that has been in the last 4 generations of graphics cards for longer than that, and is in current games consoles. It is not even a particularly harsh requirement, just be on par with an xbox.
