Is this really only a 10 hour campaign?

I've seen this game can be completed in under 10 hours. Doesn't really seem like value to money, for me. I've played DoomII maps that were free that can take nearly as long

There are 22 missions I think, I've beaten 4 of them and I'm at 4.5 hours. I'm playing on Ultra Violence.

So based on this I'd say campaign is around 22-30 hours long.

I still play Doom I+II and have spent 1000's of hours playing them, so if DTDA is anything like those, the length of the "campaign" is irrelevant.

Guess some people only play on easy mode and fly through the game with no skills. Upgrade to nightmare or harder and then say it’s a 10hr game

Dude I'm 78 and easy mode is too fast for me, and I'd brag just to live through to the end :) Have fun anyway you can!

how is nightmare difficulty? doom 2016 was painfully easy at nightmare. and doom eternal was ok i quess at nightmare. the DLCs at nightmare felt hard-perfect for me.
so how is this on nightmare? is it easy like doom 2016 or hard like doom eternals DLCs?
i want to extend the game time by a few hours by dying and learning but if this is easier than eternal at nightmare that wont happen.

If you google game time for the trilogy, they are all listed as being around 15hrs for main campaign. Seems the length of this game is normal time comparing to previous two games.
Note: I don't own this game yet.

It depends on your playstyle. Right now, I'm on chapter 8 (of 22). It took for me about 5-6 hrs on Normal, but I collect every secret/items on locations.

nightmare is fairly easy. I'd say about the same as Eternal but the way the game plays is pretty different so it might be easier or harder for you depending on how well you mesh with the changes in mechanics

It's much bigger than Eternal.

I've no idea how fast it can be run through with prior game knowledge.

A first playthrough looks to be something around 20 hours.

If you speed run it will be short, but if you want up get 100% content it will be far longer.

You can slow the action in the settings if it's too fast. Many other settings to help like enemies do less damage, you do more damage, longer parry window, etc.
