On the other hand there is still the possibility for a quick fix. After all this is what advanced access is all about: Finding people rich / dumb enough to spend the money to play early, find the bugs and hopefully fix them before everyone can play.
That being said: Thank you for your service, advanced access players! :D

Also, there is another tried method, but one that will cost a bit performance: Download Reshade, install for Doom Eternal, make sure to check Liliums HDR Shaders.
Ingame look for the "Lilium HDR black floor fix", enable it. In the settings for this shader activate "enable SDR black floor emulation".
You can play around with the 80 nits below, but setting it too high can make a game too dark overall.
Bethesda, Please fix!
HDR definitely needs to be fixed.
Special K looks the best so far, really shows how far off the in-game HDR is right now.
Just open Dark Ages through SPecial K, and press the key command ctrl+shirt+backspace, and then open the HDR submenu, and tweak the settings to your liking. You just have to try it, but the game will be running in the background, so it's very easy to see what works or not.
Every setting has a very clear description, so Special K is a user friendly program.
Unfortunately the game will be more unstable and prone to crash with Special K running, if you change graphics settings etc. Also MSI Afterburner OSD/Riva Tuner must not be running in the background.
Thanks, will give it a try come May 15th.
And, well...MSI Afterburner will definitely run in the background, as it is needed for my UV. What is usually causing instability in some games is it's overlay via RTSS, which I will specifically disable for DOOM The Dark Ages, thanks for the headsup. ^^
