Why is this game telling me to update my microcode/BIOS?
Sooo whats up with this? Never played a game in my life that told I had to update my microcode lol. Has anybody played without updating their BIOS and their computer didnt kill itself? This ♥♥♥♥ has me nervous to hit play.

What CPU do you have? 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs have known defects, one of which is, supposedly at least, fixed through BIOS updates

hey congratulations on living under the rock and completely missing the intel cpu instability controversy. your cpu has been cooking and degrading itself slowly all this time. might wanna update kido
If you are on 13 series and haven't updated your microcode a year ago, than you definitely aren't keeping up with the latest tech news

You should thank the game for reminding you to do it ASAP rather than complain lol

Better update asap. The update won't reverse any damage that has already been done but it will prevent further degradation.

yeah, just follow the manufacture of your motherboard's guidance on updating the BIOS, which will update the microcode for 13/14 generation CPUs. you're looking for update to 0x12b (at least mine was).
wow - you better google 13th and 14th gen Intel lil bro...if you don't update that, your rig will be sleeping with the fishes. If you've already had crashing in games start happening, it's already too late for you.
I had the same message.. i didn't even know that was a thing.. Thanks guys and thanks Bethesda for informing me on that..

Hey congratulations on being an ass and failing to understand that not everybody has no lives and lives on the internet. Might wanna log off and touch grass.

Buddies chip of that gen failed a couple weeks back, some games fine but some games started crashing more and more, chip was cooked, he also never got the update/patch thing. Had to buy a new chip.
