Anyone else getting "outdated cpu microcode version"
Is this for serious, and how do I deal with it?

It's crazy. I've run into this as well. We should have to mess with motherboard stuff just to play Doom.
Did you find a fix? I visited the gigabyte website and I have the latest bios update so I'm confused

You're upset the game is informing you that you don't have a very important microcode update that will prevent your CPU from being fried. Okay, lol.

It won't be your motherboard manufacturer, it will be an update from Intel.
Pretty sure that just means you have get latest chipset drivers for your CPU, it's not Bios related.

I'm in the same boat. Checked my BIOS and my CPU, it says that they're both up to date but it keeps telling me that I've got an outdated microcode. I'm going to try and contact both Bethesda and GIGABYTE support to see if they have any answers.

Coming here to say that updating my BIOS and attempting to rollback my GPU (as the latests drivers actually cause the crash) has essentially bricked my PC. Since installing i got blue screens every reset to a point where Windows is damaged and now cannot be recovered. BIOS updated fine, just couldn’t roll back GPU fast enough to beat the blue screens.
change the microcode
Updated my BIOS and fixed.

I hit the play button anyway even though it said my BIOS blah blah... It didn't launch but it sounded like it did, the game audio was playing but there was nothing to see on screen. No hidden windows behind something, not playing in the XBOX app, just game music. I'm going to UN-download this and wait a little bit, seems like it's got some issues.

Was going through the forums and found solution:
"Go to your NVIDIA control panel, manage 3d settings and 'Restore'.
Hopefully it works like it did for me.
Props go to TheTMD for motioning this idea."
