Price not worth - will be skipping
I know this is probably a minority opinion, but despite being able to afford it, I'm not rewarding the recurring greedy practice of overpricing games.

I got Baldurs Gate 3 for 90$ AUD, why would I pay 120$ for this? Unless this is a spectacular, 10/10 experience, it's simply not worth 120$. Asking this much for a game is just unacceptable. People got bills to pay. They got food to buy. School to pay for. Nappies to buy.

That is all. Thanks.

Kids are definitely the most overpriced item people pay for. Most of them are not 10/10. I'd rather pay for the game.

Meanwhile a pizza in Las Vegas costs 45$. Nobody cares, dude.

Thanks for letting us know.
Because of price increases that have been happening since the dawn of time lol
Define "overpriced".

Explain to us how, in an industry that has dodged price increases for about 2 decades, its now unfair for them to increase their prices to fund making more games.

First thing you should do is research the budget of AAA game development over the last 25 years. Heres one to get you started: Half Life 2 had a budget of 67 million in 2004. Cyberpunk 2077 had a budget of over 500 million. Half Life 2 was 50 bucks when it released. Cyberpunk was 60. 10 more bucks for about 450 million dollars of game.

Next, look at inflation and how it has affected entertainment and luxury goods. Movies, concerts, theme parks, toys, etc. In 2000 a single entry into Disneyland cost 33 dollars. As of the latest price increase in 2020 its now 135 dollars.

If the game industry had steady price increases like other similar industries we'd be paying well over 150 bucks for AA games at this point, and we might still.

TLDR, games are F--KING EXPENSIVE to make, and we as gamers had it too good for too long. Most of you will never appreciate it either.
It is on game pass for those who want to play it cheaper.

Games have never been cheaper to make than they are now with all of the tools available. Game companies just don't care about controlling costs anymore so they drive up their budgets way higher than they actually need to be.
Oh no! Anyways, I like men!
Gamepass is the cheapest option, no real excuses now.

Poors are gonna poor.
Overpriced is subjective. People will say gaming as a whole is overpriced and yet here we are.
