Wednesday/Thursday is NOT a good release day
Especially with the 2 days early access which either starts Monday/Tuesday, cant tell because steam keeps telling me it releases the 14th??

These big game companies need to realize that releasing their game in the middle of the week, especially in the middle of May is NOT a good idea. This week is either the beginning of finals for students and therefore they gotta study, or its the week after, and therefore theyre on their summer job. Those who are employed normally just play it after work, but then they have the looming workday after making things less enjoyable. They should have just released it on a Friday

I couldnt agree more. The "2 day advanced access" is more like 1 day. It gets released for me at 8pm tonight. Who the f*ck releases a game at 8pm on a monday night? So I paid 100 dollars for 1 day advanced access?? These f*ckin devs got me again. Im so baffled by this ive been sitting here for a half hour staring at the game in my library in disbelief. Wish I could get ahold of these devs and slap them around a little.

No day is a good release day for a Doom game, because Doom is bad! Haha!

Yes and weekends are not good because you need to prepare for the BBQ party and organize it. Or you have to mow the grass. Also summer not good because you need to be outside or at the beach. You don't have time to play games.
And in september it is not good because school starts. Oktober also not okay nor november because the first finals are there and you need to study or as an adult you need to prepare for coming christmans. Also end of the year not okay because the many holidays and that you have to chop some firewood, so you won't freeze to death.

What the hell is the issue here again? If you have to study, then study. This is a game you can play also 1 week or 1 month later.
If someone isn't able to manage their own time, that is a personal issue.

Do you have no life? Thats what you came on here to say? If you dont like doom thats fine. But whats the point of saying it? To prove your opinion is more important than mine? Weak.

Monday at 8pm for a video game release is not good no matter how you spin it. Especially when you pay 100 bucks for "2 day advanced access"

Say what you want. Your post brings no value to this conversation. Youre weak, dont take it out on me

just because it does not fit your schedule does not mean its a bad time, for me its perfect for example. They can't please everyone, Go take a time management course or something.

Who said I needed to bring value? I'm just doing a bit of trolling whilst my code compiles. xD

I never even mentioned you. :steamhappy:
no because if they release it friday and then there is a game breaking bug, everyone wait all the week end for a hotfix
nobody force you to play it at the second its released, and they have few day to control the bugs with hotfix
Spending so much money for a little bit of time is dumb anyway. But it works for the studio's... free money.

If you got more money then water fine but for the far majority just wait a few days, see reviews, see performance, and the whole other slew of things newly released games do badly nowadays.
Spend that extra money on a few indie games and get 10-1000 hours of value out of it instead.

LMAO. Time management? Kid get real. I work two jobs and am in the process of starting my own business. Its not about time management its about making the time and not having enough of it. When you grow up some day you'll see.

Sorry but who cares? If you're studying have some self control and play the game when you actually have the time. If you have work, play it after work or wait for the weekend.

Is a game release really hurting you that emotionally you want the to delay it to a Friday so you can feel accommodated?

Frankly I've not seen such first world problems in a long time, and its actually a bit pathetic to read.

TBF, it sounds like you have chosen to be that busy. You've prioritized starting a business over having more leisure time. Which is great, I hope you succeed.

Everyone has to decide what is important to them, and if time to play games fits in. But, the initial sentiment is true, there is no time they can release that will fit everyone. So, they should pick the time that works best for them as a company.
So they should hold off the release until the weekend because that's the optimal gaming day? I can't with this... Dude, just play it when you have time. It's not a big deal, you'll be fine.
