It'll be the price (or higher) for most AAA games going forward. Wait til you see what Rockstar charges for GTA 6.

Yup, another overpriced game.

You can always buy it, during a sale. Under $20-ish bucks would be better.

Expect more sheep/whales coming in to leave a post. You already have the first two (above me)

And I am sure you'll buy it at full price too. That will be another game I will avoid completely. I'm not hopping on that game's stick.

Nope, not interested in GTA, finished after San Andreas. The OP might be interested though.

You guys can keep raging against reality if you like but the price of AAA games is going up whether we like it or not.

If you weren't interested in it, why mention it?

Was I raging? nope, I was not. I already know the prices will go up (not every triple A game, but some) it doesn't mean that I support it like you and others.

I will continue to wait for deep sales while others continue supporting the bad pricing, overpriced games/DLC/overpriced editions for a couple days early access and etc.

That is the cycle we are in right now.

Edit: Mafia: The Old Country (new game) = $50+tax.

I mentioned GTA as an example of what is likely to be an expensive, popular AAA game (and the OP has nearly 2000 hours in GTA 5).

I mentioned 'rage' because these threads have been inundated with complaints about the price for Doom TDA, and this is another such thread.

Do what you like with your money, and leave others to do the same. Is it really necessary to call others 'sheep' and 'whales' because they choose to buy something you don't?

I get the feeling some folks want game prices to skyrocket just so they can feel special, like buying some overpriced designer gear the "plebs" can’t afford. What they don’t realise is, if most people start sayin "stuff it, I’ll wait for a massive sale or not buy it at all" the whole gaming industry’s gonna cop it. You can’t build this specific business model on pricing out the majority, that’s a fast track to going under.

Many people already know that GTA6 will be expensive (probably in the $80+tax mark) it's also the talk in the gaming news.

Letting people support bad pricing effects everyone else (who aren't rich/wealthy/have money to burn etc) and then we get a bunch of overpriced things because people, like you, support it.

"call others 'sheep' and 'whales' because they choose to buy something you don't?" no, they choose to support the bad pricing.

If it makes you feel better, feel free to blame me for the price of Doom TDA.

Won't help with the price though.

we get "overpriced" things because everything is going up in price, that's how the world is, living expenses rise each year, if less people buy games, they would actually cost MORE due to less demand, you don't seem to know how anything works

When a game’s “overpriced” and people stop buyin’ it that’s not a signal for them to jack it up more, ya drongo. That’s the market sayin’: “You’ve priced yourself out, champ.” Supply and demand. Demand drops, and unless you're sellin some rare golden goose, you either lower the bloody price or go belly up.

Let me put it in terms you can chew on: if you open a meat pie shop and charge $25 a pie, and no one buys em, you don't raise it to $35. You either drop that price, run specials, or you shut your damn doors cause you’re not makin a dime. That's basic economics, not “how the world is” according to your fairyland logic.

And as for livin expenses risin? Sure, they do, for the consumers too. You think everyone got endless dosh to burn just cause their cost went up? Nah mate. If your price goes up and your product’s not worth it, the people just walk. It’s that simple. Not some magical backwards inflation dance where less buyers = more expensive games.

Now go back to readin the back of your cereal box for financial advice, mate.
Reality is, Doom is priced at a point where people will buy it. Those that don't want to, mostly, have access to Gamepass. Like it or not, Doom is priced well and the market will agree.

Not long 'til we get some sales figures for Doom TDA. Maybe we should wait to see them before we decide id/Bethesda/Microsoft have priced themselves out of the market.
