Will the game run for me with this laptop?
Razer 15 Base Model (Early 2020) - RZ09-0328

I want to clarify, if the game runs at 30 FPS, that's A-OK with me. I have no issue with it whatsoever. As long as it can play the game, and as long as my computer will not explode, I am fine with it.

And please, no arguments or rude remarks! Much appreciated.

no, it's below minimum specs and it's a laptop
That's extremely unfortunate. I heard about other situations about DOOM games running below minimum specs, so I thought this would be sort of a similar situation.

unfortunately it wont be able to run it because it lacks ray tracing capabilities.

Unless you have the RTX 2060 or 2070 variants then no, it won't run due to the mandatory ray tracing.

I do have the RTX 2060 variant, actually. Does this mean there is a chance?

i dunno, it's the minimum requirement and the mobile 2060 is much weaker than its desktop counterpart

The 2060 has 6GB so it's below the minimum 8GB vram, but it's possible it could work on minimum settings.

The Hardware Unboxed review ran into a bit of trouble on 8GB cards with a 2GB texture pool after playing a while and had to lower it to the minimum 1.5GB, but they weren't using minimum settings.

Personally I'd wait for someone who also has a supported machine to do some testing. Plenty of people have more than one computer, and somewhere out there someone has a 6GB 2060, 3050 or laptop 3060 and a supported machine so they're not sticking their neck out buying a game that might not work.

Another test someone could try is a texture pool size of 3.5GB on an 8GB card (preferably NVidia, from your point of view) with minimum settings. If that works it would suggest that a 6GB card with a minimum sized 1.5GB texture pool could run it. I can't try this because the texture pool only goes up to 4GB and I don't have any 6GB or 8GB RT capable cards.

Thank you! I really appreciate this comment. Yeah, for me, I personally have no issue if the game runs at a low framerate, or if the textures are poor. I used to play Doom Eternal on Nightmare on the Nintendo Switch, so I'm more than used to it.

Like, as long as I can play the game, my laptop's not gonna explode, and I don't gotta shill $1,600 or more, that's fine by me.
For reference a 2070 Max-Q (Mobile) is on par with a 1660ti and a little slower than a RTX 3050
2060 Max-Q is 10% slower than a 980ti

even if you can it will melt your laptop so my advice is to wait. even people with pwerful pc';s complain about games optimisation because of forced ray tracing
Update, not only does it run completely fine, but it doesn't even melt my laptop, and the framerate has consistently been feeling like 60 fps or so.

I'm really happy about it! Id really did a great job!!

Even at low settings, I'm still really pleased how the game looks. :D
