So basically they're using demons to fight demons now. Except now they're "controllable"?

It's a very expensive arcade game with 6 hours of game play.
They do what? The dragon isn't a demon. The mech isn't a demon. Did I miss something?

You have no idea what you're talking about, nothing like that is in the game.

Did you not watch the trailer? He clearly says "he's not one of us", and the king was very skeptical on whether he should use him or not.

Yeah, Doomguy isn’t from Argentina. He’s from Texas. He somehow walked through Hell to Argentina and the locals adopted him after he messed up a bunch of guys in the ring in spite of almost dying from his wounds.

That's kinda racist to demons. You're assuming every demon is the same just based on their demon skin colour.

Some demons just want to cuddle bruh. Don't be such a bigot.

Nah just kill em all. That's the whole point of their existence, to become BFG giblets.

Not sure why, but when I read this, I imagined the voice sounding similar to mickey mouse. Interesting.

He is referring to the Doom Slayer who isn't from Argent D' Nur nor born as a sentinel. It is against tradition to let outsiders fight among the sentinels, yet the Slayer is the only one who has experience fighting the demons which is a large advantage... so yes, many characters are skeptical of the Slayer and it's part of the reason there was a civil war later on.

This was already explained in Eternal.

So what is he exactly? I take it this isn't touched upon.
Ok after reading this, I now understand what's going on. The Slayer is a good guy after all.

"The Slayer lead the Night Sentinels deeper into Hell, earning many victories and unwittingly allowing the Khan Maykr to build factories in Hell's domains to harvest Hell Essence to produce Argent Energy while endorsing the Slayer's name as the will of the Maykrs."

So he was actually against using Hell's resources for power. Good on him.

I'll buy the game now.
