People spend 80 dollars worth of games during sales that they never even play. They'll have hundreds of games they spend 2 dollars each on that they'll never touch in their lives.
80 dollars on a game they actually play isn't a bad thing. Better to spend that money on a game they'll actually spend time on.
the price. if I was against consumerism itself I shouldnt be on steam. My issue is consumers mindlessly purchasing and preordering setting a standard for price models. Its literally how its determined, not just by this company but all. All the big names will watch the sales of this game and if it does well in terms of sales those companies will set 80$ as the standard.
My argument is to stop giving in to these practices. We are responsible for microtranactions being abundant in games. People complain about microtransactions but those same people are purchasing the games (and mtx’s) normalizing this behavior.
if you think this is about what you can afford you are mistaken.
