Doom eternal and Doom 2016 is a joke. VR games that take advantage of the tech (Blood trail to mention one) are everything the original doom sought alas visceral bloody violence not bullet sponge glowing enemies to let little jimmy know when to glory kill.

The game looks like it's almost ready for release.
On the other hand, you may need more performance to use this technology.
But these must be considered clearly before making the game. Adding them directly to the game would consume a lot of funds and could make the game unstable.
So temporary is not possible.

But there already is a Doom VFR game. And it did "meh". So highly doubt there will be another VR game for a long time.
