DOOM: The Dark Ages

Can my computer still run this?
My specs:

Intel Core i7 9700k
RTX 2080 Super 8 GB
16 GB RAM
1440p monitor

Seeing the system requirements for this game had me worried a bit that my computer wouldn't be able to run it, whilst I'm able to play both 2016 and Eternal well with the specs I currently have. Will these specs that I have for like 5 years be able to run this game?

Nope

Of course it will. Depending on how many fps you want you will need upscaling or even have to lower the resolution. If I were you I would wait for benchmarks.

Should be just fine for 60 FPS, your GPU is above the minimum and CPU is just a hair under. Just get another 16GB of RAM though, DDR4 is dirt cheap and will help.

Will make zero difference if it is anything like in Eternal. That is besides the fact that you should almost never do this in general. Always opt for a memory from a single kit, especially if you are concerned about gaming performance and stability.

Both Doom 2016 and especially Doom Eternal were incredibly optimized so it will probably run but I think the fact you are going 2k is going to be the real wrench here with your 2080.

What? Doom Eternal came out 5 years ago and it's recommended ram requirement is 8GB, DA has recommended requirement of 32GB. Why would how Doom Eternal runs matter here at all? And I never told him how exactly to upgrade his ram, if he can't find the same kits of his existing ram, he can get a new kit of 2X 16GB for like $40 these days.

It will run. Not at max settings but it will run and still look good.

The processor requirements are worrying.

10700K for 60 fps? -.-

Don't assume that just because the devs say those are the requirements that you can't run the game AT ALL if you have something lower.

10700k is just what they feel is needed to run 60 fps smoothly with no suttering. If you're willing to turn the graphics a bit lower, you can get away with lower processor speed.

Graphics barely affect the CPU load.

Doesn't matter if you play in 1080p, 4k or 360p. The same game logic is still having to be processed regardless of the graphical fidelity.
