Why is it worth it to you?
Sincere post. I'm not trying to stir something up. Trying to keep it civil here.
I'm just really curious as to how someone can justify buying a game for 110 euro.
In my opinion, It's way to much for a game you won't even own.
So I'm asking you who bought the Premium version: According to you, what is it about the game that makes it worth 110 euro?

No.
I spend big money on games like that if they are something I can play with my friends for several weeks.

but thats just my own personal opinion.

It's quite simple. Nobody cares about your opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own and can make their own decisions without checking in with some rando on the internet.

I was not paying $99 USD, which is more like $110 after taxes just to play a few days early.. and what'd they give those players, some type of cosmetic diaper to toss on the Doom Slayer or a pink machine gun skin?

$70 USD wasn't horrible.. but this game better be as good or better than Doom Eternal. I felt like DE had very little replay value compared to Doom 2016. 2016 was a blast to replay levels in after they added the Arcade mode. You got to see your friend's scores as well as everyone on Steam/World.

DE failed miserably with that.. replaying some of those levels felt like actual work. 2016 also had a pretty fun MP mode that folks are still playing to this day.. lots of unlockables all 100% free in-game, id Software has never asked anyone for a penny after purchasing their games.. Despite Bethesda's attempts to get them to add an in-game store for DE. Fortunately id Software said NO! Then a bunch of employees got laid off or quit.. thanks Bethesda!

I'll just be upset if the game is boring, idc if I have to tone the graphics down.. I originally played DE on my 1600x/1660GTX 6GB and it was a blast at first.. then when I went to replay w/ my 5600x/3070 I just lost interest. I never had any interest in DE's fake MP 2vs1 MP mode.. just boring imo.

Crossing fingers this game is decent!

Hi, Thank you for your input. Not the civil reply I was after, but you do you.
I did not buy the expensive version, just the regular one for Xbox. But ask yourself: why is it that people spend $1K or more for 2 or 3 weeks holidays when all that remains are perhaps some great memories of having had a good time by relaxing on a beach under the sun or else? And that is just the same with this Doom game, we want to have a great time playing it.

And don't forget that the early access people also paid for the DLC in advance. Just like you also pay for flights and accomodation in advance when you plan your holidays.
It isn't woth it for me, its clearly the worst entry in the modern Doom trilogy, both technical and gameplay wise.
I will play it in about 2 years, when in drops in Humble Choice, same as I did with the jump&gun Eternal.

Because it's a Doom game by id Software and we are halfway through 2025 and that's how much the game costs.

It was an easy sale to me. If it doesn't sound worth it to you, don't buy it at that price.

I bought the premium version of the game, which is 110 euro and i got for advanced access too the game 2 days before launch as its a favourite franchise of mine and two, because the previous doom games that id software released were such great games i feel like they have a great reputation/ knowledge for making top quality games. If they had released some doom games from 2016 till now that were flops id be more sceptical/ hesitant to give them my cash.

Because I spend more on cigarettes every week than what the premium edition costs. Also it's Doom.
Because at this stage in life I have much more money than I do time
I bought premium for 70 bucks. You peeps do realise g2a and cd-keys exist? Morons

Yes

Bc I have no moral contract with a GAOTU that requires me to pay or worship it more than i do myself.

It's not a lot of money and I wanted to play the game. Pretty straight forward.
