Forced Ray tracing not a good move..
I'm sorry but i'm playing doom because it's a fast FPS not see some reflections.
We need an option to disable RTX and have more frames...

i'ts not gonna happen, The game is developed around ray tracing. turning it off would break the game.
totally support you with that, forced RTX is a mistake no matter how good it looks.

Gameplay and performance > Looks. I woud gladly preferred raster graphics but with 120FPS, but nope I`ll have to upscale to reach such FPS...

Its not going to happen. We don't even know that the engine has any support for prebaked lighting.

Far as I'm concerned 60fps is great and 40 is ok. I don't need 200 fps to enjoy a game, I'm not a pigeon.

yeah this game made me upgrade from 1060
to 5070

Meh. I am averaging 100-130 fps on an almost 5 year old RX 6900 XT, performance is fine. 200+ FPS isn't needed to enjoy or play this game well.

Yes those sort of frame rates aren't about game play, they're about bragging right. You know an e-penis measuring contest.

Even when many of us get over 100fps it really sucks because we are forced to use DLSS-FSR which makes the game look kinda blurry compared to native...
Bad decision...

I will enjoy this with my 5090, gonna be a lot of ray traced goodies :winter2019coolyul:
I'm going to shock you.... i don't need 100 Fps+ to enjoy a game perfects happy at 60fps.

I'll shock you more im also happy at 1080p my monitors native resolution.

I'm okay with 60 FPS for others games but not for DOOM it's a FAST FPS and ID SOFTWARE are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good to optimize game look doom eternal.
So for me this choice it's a big mistake, that's only my opinion.
For me it's better to have 50% more frame than reflection.

lol 1080 user spotted.

I'm only on a 2070 and at 1440p high settings with balanced DLSS it's performing just fine. idTech is incredibly well optimized, literally the best in the business -- nothing else comes close.
yeah, it was a great move.
That "forced Ray Tracing" helped save the developer massive time in regards to lighting, resulting in more levels than ever before. Previously, that we would have to bake everything to even test the lighting.
