Ignore the haters - game's solid
If you've got a system that can run the game, pick it up.

Starts out a little slow, but by Mission 7 - 8 things pick up and it feels just as good as Eternal.

Absolutely having a blast with it - from shield throws to the punching gauntlet. Haven't had this much fun in a Doom game in a LONG time.

I know a lot of people are having issues, but let's face it, this is the next "Crysis"

My specs
Video: Sapphire 7900xtx (24GB RAM)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
MB: ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PLUS
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series DDR5 32GB

Definitely and the optimization is miraculous along with the quality of life settings where you can control how much damage you give and take from enemies which comes in very handy for those super tough bosses which seem to always get you one second away from dying.
Yup, the game is solid and the hype is real.
+1

I'm sure there are people having issues with worse hardware, but game is running amazingly for me. For reference (even though I'm sure anyone with these specs knows the game will run fine, but just in case)

Ryzen 5 5600G
32GB RAM
7800XT
M.2

Running an FPS counter on the 2nd mission gives a pretty stable 70FPS at 2k (2560x1440p)

This is in a big outside area and has a decent amount of enemies.

Overall, having completed the first 3 missions. Game is smooth and gameplay is sick. highly recommended.
To add in my own spec and performance, so anyone can use it for reference.

7900x3d CPU, 32Gb RAM, 7900xt GPU, NVME storage. 4k OLED monitor.
Games run consistently above 60fps using ultra nightmare graphics settings, 3840x2160 but FSR set to quality with a 110 FOV, HDR turned on. (I haven't turned on FG).

I've finished the first 5 chapters so far and the experience has been amazing with it continuing to ramp up the intensity and fun.
I do have one gripe though and it has to do with sound/music which seems to have some issues that could do with a fix. (Chapter 5 highlights one sound issue)

i never listen to the negative nancies, The haters live only to be miserable and complain about being miserable, to make everyone around them as miserable
I'm running a 4070 on my ASUS laptop. Runs smooth as silk at a consistent 60+fps (2560x1440p) with settings on High.

This game is excellent, It feels like a new iteration of Doom and I am happy the developers gave us something more like Doom 2016 than Doom Eternal. Doom Eternal is a good game, but this is much closer to the Doom I want to play.

Finally released doom for people who think Genshin impact is a difficult game. Glory to casuals and Slowpokes!
Yeah the levels get pretty huge and explorable, The Holy City of Aratum became my favorite so far, still a ways to go, but being able to move around the map and tackling objectives in whatever order I wanted was a blast.

It really is 10 on 10 for me, no regrets spending extra for premium version, I had blast playing it, time for 2nd run 👍🏻😎👍🏻
100% this game is fantastic and i have 100% it in 2days so damn happy i got it
I've been a Doom fan, all Doom since 1994-95. And I put this in with Doom 3, behind 2016, Behind Eternal (slightly). Personally I don't like the " Perfect dodge " BS. It slows down game play. And right now I'm stuck staring at three turrets trying to figure out WHAT i should do, other than dodge this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ turret all day.

The Pulverizer is just stupid so far, its less effective than any of the other guns, maybe upgrades will help it. But a gun that chomps up skulls to send the shards at the bad guys...ANYTHING else would make a better weapon for a civilization that can strap energy wings on a dragon and send it into the sky...Its dumb....To find it in a lab....dumb.

I was afraid I'd hate the shield, but its winning me over.

The game is really fun. I had a few crashes yesterday in one specific area of a specific mission (Mission 6). So much fun
