If you don't want to go that route. Undervolting and pushing boost frequency down by 100MHz or so will keep performance but lower overall package temps.

What do you class as extremely hot?
What temps are you getting, compared to playing high settings on other demanding games?
Just get an AIO. You've got a high-end, modern CPU with 32 threads—it should be idling at 52°C. You can find a good AIO cooler for around 100 euros.
Also, consider upgrading your thermal paste if you're using cheap stuff. The classic Arctic MX-6 is a solid choice, though there are even better options out there.
For the AIO, something like the Arctic Liquid Freezer III is a great pick—just make sure it fits your case. If it makes too much noise, swap out the fans for some Be Quiet! ones.
Don't forget to update your BIOS and CPU microcode. If you're on Windows, just Google how to do it. If you're on Linux, install the intel-ucode package via your package manager.
If your airflow setup is bad, there are plenty of simple YouTube videos to help you fix it.
This is a 500-euro CPU, so you really should cool it with something better than a basic air cooler. Proper cooling will help you get the most out of your CPU’s performance—and maybe even overclock it later. But judging by your current setup, just focus on getting stable, normal performance first—no need for overclocking yet.
