once the game opens up i'll let you know what can be turned off, rtx wise.
rtx graphics most likely can be disables but rtx used for other things is hard coded and thats mostly free anyways
just upgrade now or maybe wait for a decent price drop on raytracing gpus.
You might be able to remove the check to launch the game, but it will just crash like those with integrated AMD GPUs on their Ryzen CPU are dealing with.
TDA is MUCH better looking than Eternal.
You can turn down the global illumination / indirect lighting to the point where all bounce lighth (the raytracing part of this game) is inactive.
Looks garbage because now you don't have indirect light. But its an option if you are really struggling
If you know what you are looking at it honestly looks far better. The quality of the light alone is fantastic.
What do you define as bad performance? What res and fps are you trying to hit?
The game runs well even on Ultra Nightmare with a RTX 3060.
If you turn these features off you basically have a complete unlit black game world. Marks and damage is nothing to do with it at all.
The game doesnt launch unless you have an RTX card.
clearly they got paid for exclusivity by Nvidia
lmao. You don't understand how idTech8 works. This isn't UE5, RT isn't an "option" it is integrated from the ground up. You can choose -- compatibility or optimization. You can't have both. Sorry.
LOL good luck with that! The game relies on RTGI, if you turn off the RTGI in the console commands most of the lighting in the game goes black because the RT is missing and its required to calculate the lighting and shadows for everything.
"durr its not optional"
yes this is by design in order to lock out otherwise functional cards that the majority of people own.
There are zero problems with performance, which is why its a joke for them to include some obscure specific lighting mechanism that locks out the most common hardware. this game could run on a laptop were it not for Ray-Pooping
my monitor is 2k
